Take Nick Cannon and Mariah Carey for instance: Weeks before their wedding they went out and got tattoos of each other’s names. Mariah has a small butterfly at the base of her spine with “Mrs. Cannon” in script as the center line of the butterfly. Nick Cannon has “Mariah” tattooed across his entire upper back in giant half-cursive writing.

How about Jay-Z and Beyonce? She tells “Essence” said that she and Jay have the Roman numeral ‘4’ tattooed on their ring fingers. She says it’s to signify their vows so that if and when they take off their bands a mark of some type is still there. The number four is supposed to be particular to the couple because her birthday is September 4, his birthday is December 4, and their wedding anniversary is April 4.

OMG!!! Not another one!!! VH1 is at it again! Remember the brothers of the reality shows “I Love New York” and “I Love Money”? Yeah, Real and Chance! Well, now it’s time for their real chance of love. LOL! Speaking of which, that’s the name of their show.

“Real Chance of Love” was originally set to premiere in November, however, the new VH1 stars plan to air the show 2 weeks earlier. Now set for October 20 at 9:00 PM ET/PT, the brothers are followed as they attempt to find love during the 11-episode series.

Ahmad “Real” Givens & Kamal “Chance” Givens will get the opportunity to choose who they would like to fall in love with, and who’s going home.

BEYONCE FINALLY SPEAKS ON RELATIONSHIP AND MARRIAGE WITH JAY Z TO ESSENCE MAGAZINE

After years of rumors, assumptions and paparazzi pictures, Beyonce is finally spilling all the juice on her relationship and wedding with the great Sean Carter a.k.a Jay-Z. All of the answers we’ve been waiting for on the known but not explained relationship between the two and her upcoming projects will be revealed in the November’s issue of Essence Magazine.

Ray J and Brandy team up for their new “R & B” Project

Well, its been said that big sister Brandy and little Brother Ray J are in the process of putting together a collaborative album entitled “ R & B ” …  pretty clever huh? R & B ; which stands for Ray J and Brandy .. And of course the obvious name which also represents their genre.  

It was confirmed by Brandy, when she visited New York’s Hot 97 on Thursday, that the album is in the planning stages right now. She Said that it was always their mother’s dream to have an album with both her son and daughter to do a project together. 

“ R & B ” isn’t the only recording for the duo has created; in 2001 Brandy was featured on Ray J’s UK hit “Another Day in Paradise,” which regrettably was never released in the U.S.

Though further information about the album is unavailable right now, fans can look forward to finding both Ray J and Brandy in record stores and even on the small screen within the next few months.

Ray J, who is currently enjoying the success with his latest album “All I Feel” and hit single “Sexy Can I” and his follow up sexy ” Gifts “. He also has been taped for VH1 and will appear in a new reality show series similar to the popular show “Flavor Of Love.” Oh Lord, this should be real interesting.

As for Brandy, the former ‘Moesha’ star is scheduled to release “Human,” the follow up to 2004’s “Afrodisiac”, on November 11^th.  I LOVE BRANDY! hopefully this new album will be as good as her previous ones, Because this will be her first studio album in 4 years.

LIL WAYNES IS STILL WORKING OVERTIME … AND SAYS THE “DEDICATION 3” IS ON ITS WAY !

So, “Tha Carter III,” has only been out since May, and Lil Wayne is already in the studio recording the follow-up. According to his blog on ESPN.com, the rapper is currently working hard on “Tha Carter IV” along with a new mixtape for the streets.

The mixtape that will precede the album, “Dedication 3,” will fall under DJ Drama’s “Gangsta Grillz” series and “you can expect [it] real soon,” Wayne says.

Knowing that people admire to his well-recognized creative style, Wayne says immediately after “Dedication 3” comes out, he’ll re-release it “with 20 extra songs for free on my Web site.”

“Tha Carter III” was recorded to be the best-selling album of 2008 (I BEG TO DIFFER). However, according to Nielsen SoundScan the album shifted about 2.5 million copies in the United States.

It also shows that Wayne is also collaborating with T-Pain for a highly anticipated duet album, “T-Wayne,” which is scheduled to premiere sometime in 2009. Very creative. Considering that both artists, in the past year, collaborated with other artists on over 20 singles and remixes combined.

“We’ve got three or four songs we’ve finished,” T-Pain tells Billboard. “They don’t really have titles. We’re just doing music and however it comes out, it comes out.”

T-Pain also claims that the tracks won’t sound like his present Wayne-featured single, “Can’t Believe It,” but will have the collective style shown on tracks like “Got Money.”

However, Wayne will take a break from recording later on this month to perform at the Voodoo Music Experience on Oct. 25 in his hometown, New Orleans, and he is also scheduled to play at Power 105.1’s Powerhouse concert three days later in East Rutherford, N.J. Let’s hope he doesn’t flop like past concerts…

JANET Jackson’S HIDDEN ILLNESS SETS HER back 3 shows

Janet Jackson has deferred three more shows because of an undisclosed illness. Her publicist stated in an e-mail Saturday evening that Jackson was postponing a Saturday show in Greensboro, N.C., one on Sunday in Atlanta and a third on Tuesday in Fort Lauderdale, FL.A statement from the artist claimed she arrived in Greensboro, N.C. on Saturday, hoping to perform there, but a local doctor advised her that she could not perform after it became “evident” she was not fully recovered from her illness.

Representatives for 42-year-old Janet say she became “suddenly ill” and was hospitalized late Monday in Montreal during sound check abruptly after she arrived for a show. She also postponed concerts in Boston and Philadelphia on Wednesday and Thursday.

Jackson’s publicist did not explain what happened to the artist on Saturday, only saying she was “recuperating.” The note said Jackson should and will return home, under her doctor’s direction, for further treatment.

Also in the note, Jackson asked people to keep their tickets for the postponed shows, and stated that her promoter is working to reschedule the dates. Jackson is on her first North American tour in seven years.

BEYONCE PREPARES FOR 2009 AND GETS READY TO START WITH A BANG

Beyonce is taking off time for a 2009 tour in support of her upcoming third solo album, due Nov. 18 via Music World/Columbia. She plans to play international dates next spring, followed by a North American tour in early next summer.

The present untitled new album will be preceded by two singles: “If I Were a Boy” and “Single Ladies.” Videos for both songs were under the direction of Jake Nava and was filmed in Harlem. They will begin to hit U.S. radio and video airways sometime around Oct. 14.

The artist will also perform one of the new singles on Nov. 6 as a part of the MTV Europe Music Awards in Liverpool, England.

Also in the works, is a Beyonce AOL Session and a deluxe edition of the album, both due Nov. 18 as well, featuring as-yet-unannounced bonus tracks.

“I have worked on this album for close to one year,” Beyonce says on her Web site. “It is the most time I have spent on any project since my first records as a member of Destiny’s Child when I was 15 years old. I have recorded over 70 songs and have created a sound that reveals all of me.”
